Nutritional Supplement Program
KHAKY offers a variety of nutritional supplement products to dialysis patients through their Registered Dietitians. The program provides supplements at discounted prices to any patient whose condition requires nutritional intervention. Patients who qualify financially can receive up to $10/month in product free of charge.
Emergency Financial Assistance
KHAKY will provide up to $200/year in emergency financial assistance to patients who qualify financially. Covered expenses include housing, drugs and medical supplies, utilities, and public or commercial transportation. The assistance program does not include gasoline costs, personal transportation, or any type of deposits.
All patient services are administered through renal social workers and registered dietitians and are now available through our website at KHAKY online. Contact us for more information.
Patient Activities
Annual Patient Block Party
Each August KHAKY hosts a picnic for all patients, clinic personnel, volunteers, board members and their families. The picnic is held in the parking lot of the KHAKY office and includes a free buffet lunch, games, door prizes and an opportunity to fellowship and network with other patients and staff members.
Patient Dinner Seminars and Service Fairs
KHAKY periodically sponsors dinner seminars and patient service fairs for patients on topics of importance to them. The dinners and service fairs are free and open to all patients, caregivers, and professional staff.
Annual Awards and Appreciation Banquet
This event features patients, caregivers, organ donors and organ donor families. Volunteers, supporters and partners who have joined with KHAKY over the past year are recognized at this dinner event. The event is free and open to all patients and guests.
